Allow me to share my story of how I started my journey as a Digital Marketing Specialist. Just like everybody has experienced - I didn't know what I wanted to do after completing my high-school diploma through Quinte Adult Education. After having my beautiful daughter, I wanted to try to do better for myself, but after months of deciding and looking at many different college courses in the area, I felt overwhelmed and rather... intimidated 😅. Until I found triOS College where I spoke to a guidance counselor that directed me to try "Digital Marketing Specialist".
Of course, I was hesitant. But, after talking with my husband, mother-in-law, and my sister - they've pushed me to take a chance and support me with whatever decisions I made. Regardless of it being remote learning, I struggled for months of dealing with my anxiety in front of people, let alone a camera. However, after getting to know the instructor, Tammy Hurst-Erkine, I found that I enjoyed the course as well as my fellow classmates that helped me whenever I needed it.
I have learned a lot about Digital Marketing such as working with SEO, Email Marketing, Mobile Marketing, Content Calendars, Digital/Mobile Marketing, & more. If it wasn't for this experience, I wouldn't be where I am today working a seasonal job at LCBO and with Ben at Not a Pour Decision. I want to express how much I am grateful for this course and the people I have met, as well as my husband and family who supported me all the way through.
I'd also want to say that if it wasn't for Tammy who has encouraged me numerous times and made it a reminder that I should never, ever be afraid to be proud of my work. I still have a long way to go, but hopefully, after Digital Marketing Specialist, I may even look into Graphic Designing as my next journey.
You are a real talent and a wonderful example for your daughter. I'm incredibly humbled and honoured to be able to be part of your journey. Your determination and strength is impressive to witness. Getting to watch your confidence grow has been one of my favourite things. Congratulations, Leeza-Marie, well done! Tammy
